Barks and Recreation in Trail BC Natures Miracle Skunk Odor RemoverSadly, part of having summer and dogs means that some of your dogs will be too curious about the seemingly friendly skunks roaming around. There are many remedies out there that will help eliminate skunk odor well but sometimes you just want to purchase a product that has proven results instead of using your tomato juice or lots of hydrogen peroxide/baking soda and Dawn dish detergent. When you don’t want to fool around and you need to get rid of that pesky smell come in to Barks and Recreation to pick up Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover.

Product Overview:

NATURE’S MIRACLE® Skunk Odor Remover is the go-to option for pet owners looking to remove stubborn skunk odors from both pets and surfaces. Our powerful, bio-enzymatic formula works to neutralize skunk odors by breaking down oils found in skunk spray and effectively removes odors from directly-sprayed pets as well as products that have come into contact with a skunked pet such as bedding or clothing. Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover may be used on pets, carpets, hard surfaces, clothing kennels, and carriers for skunk-related odors.

How it works:

Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover works to break down the toughest skunk odors—in contrast to many products on the market that may simply mask or cover up odors with perfumes or scents.  Our bio-enzymatic formula works to effectively break down and neutralizes skunk oils and other odor-causing matter to permanently eliminate many unpleasant smells. Due to this process, Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover works best when given time to dry naturally (sometimes taking up to two weeks on certain surfaces). Pets should also be allowed to air dry before bathing or additional applications.

A bit of a video testimonial:

  1. Cleaning off the skunk’s stench is hard to do because the stink does not rub off that easily and sometimes you impose tough love to your dogs especially if they are not a big fan of baths. Aside from the effectiveness of the product, my worry is that if it is really safe for use, is it BFAD registered, or the side effects that it might have.

    • I am certain that if it was BFAD registered it would mention that it is on the main product page that was linked in the original blog post, so I do not think so. As for the side effects, many products that are available to the general public will have the possibility of side effects but as the MSDS sheet for this product mentions, they are very mild unless you already know your dog may have kidney problems and the dog actually ingests the product (which is not how the product is supposed to be administered. The ingredient listings are very simple as well containing Enzymes, isopropanol, water, and citric acid.
