Private Training

Do you have a particular behaviour problem you’ve been wanting to work on but don’t know how to deal with it? Do you have a busy schedule and can’t make group classes? Our private lessons are just for you. Get one on one instruction to deal with something you’ve been struggling with, rehab your aggressive or fearful dog, or just touch up some skills.

After filling out our questionnaire, we will meet with you and your dog to begin developing a training plan. We will set up a specialized plan just to meet your needs and goals and provide you with detailed instructions. Email and phone support is included free of charge. You don’t have to live with a dog who drives you crazy! Whether your issue is barking, jumping, pulling on leash, fear, or acting aggressively towards people or other animals we can help. Don’t get rid of your dog! Call us for help first. We succeed where other trainers have failed.

Pricing:

Basic Consults and Assessments – at Barks and Rec: $30 – Outside location within Trail – $45

The consult/assessment is the first step in developing a training plan for your dog. Our trainer will meet with you, meet and assess your dog, and will be able to give you options for training and management as well as an approximate time frame and cost. This is not an actual training session.

Basic private lesson rate: At Barks and Rec $60, at your home within Trail $75. Packages are available, a pricing estimate will be given after your consult.

*Please contact us for pricing outside of the Greater Trail Area. Discount packages are available for rescue dogs, shelter and vet office staff, and current clients.

In order to ensure that everyone who comes to day care and training class stays healthy, we ask that dogs be up to date on current vaccinations.

The requirements for vaccinations are as follows:

Age - 8 weeks:
1 Vaccination for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus

Age - 12 weeks:
2 Vaccinations for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus

Age - 16 weeks:
3 Vaccinations for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus + 1 vaccination for Rabies and Bordatella (Kennel Cough)

Age - 1 year:
Booster shot for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus and Rabies + 2 vaccinations Bordatella (Kennel Cough)

Age - 2+ years:
Shots within 3 years for Parvovirus, Distemper, Adenovirus and Rabies + a shot every year for Bordatella (Kennel Cough)
